Following all the links between Roma and Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof in the summer, it seems this rumour will stay alive for the winter window as well.

As journalist Rudy Galetti today writes about the Gialorossi’s chase for a new defender, the Red Devils’ centre-back is back on being mentioned as one of the targets.

Roma have recently been offered a bunch of free agents, but according to his report, they’re not interested in any of them, and shall look for other targets in the January window.

That’s where Lindelof comes in, as ‘new contacts are expected’ for the Manchester United player.

The Serie A side should now get in touch with his agents to ‘understand the chances’ of a transfer in the middle of the season.

It was José Mourinho who brought the former Benfica player to Old Trafford in 2017, so the Roma boss would just be going for a player he already knows very well.

With heavy competition at Manchester United this season, Lindelof only made one appearance for the club since Erik ten Hag’s arrival.
