Wolves fans, please don’t throw rotten vegetables at us.

But Marca have published a pretty strong article on – what they say – are Jonny Otto’s feelings over his permanent transfer to Wolves.

The Spanish newspaper call the move ‘forced’ and say he’s now left with the ‘broken dream’ of playing for Atletico Madrid.

They state that despite his Premier League experience being ‘enriching’, the permanent deal came as the result of a ‘movement that has shattered the dream that had been exciting him since last summer’.

Laying it on thick, Marca say the fullback had been ‘counting the days’ until he’d be under Diego Simeone’s demand at the rojiblancos.

He’s been used as a ‘bargaining chip’ and when he found out what Atletico planned he ‘welcomed it with disappointment’.

Of course, he could have always said no, but it’s explained Atletico and Wolves had agents working on the case, pushing the deal through.

The 24 year old is hardly going to be crying into his hot chocolate tonight, and Wolves seems a great club to be at right now, but Jonny may well have a sneaking feeling this was Atletico’s plan all along.

He wouldn’t be the only one.
