Manchester United have Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani as the two strikers in their current squad.

The Uruguay international has struggled with multiple injuries this season and his contract with the Red Devils will expire on June 30th. His exit will force the Premier League side to bring in a new no.9 in the summer.

Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Manchester United could be interested in Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The ‘transfer market expert’ gave an insight into what could be Napoli’s summer transfer business during Canale Otto’s program, Giochiamo di Anticipo.

His comments are relayed by Area Napoli, and he explains the Serie A side’s potential signings would depend on some of the current players leaving the Naples club.

Di Marzio went on to suggest that incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s desire to sign a new striker could see the Red Devils focus on the Nigeria international.

“I think that only Manchester United, among the big players in Europe, could be interested in the Nigerian. After the arrival of ten Hag, they could invest in a striker capable of attacking the space,” the journalist said.

Osimhen has 16 goals and five assists to his name from 27 matches in all competitions this season.
