Earlier on Friday we covered claims from Gazzetta dello Sport that Joao Cancelo has ‘seriously started packing his bags’ ahead of a potential move to Manchester City.

it was reiterated that Juventus want €60m for their player and aren’t interested in taking Danilo in part-exchange.

Gazzetta said more meetings would take place next week to try and get the transfer over line.

Calciomercato now report the transfer is ‘almost there’. And an agreement with the Premier League champions is described as being ‘very close’.

Manchester City have found ‘total agreement’ with Cancelo himself, but haven’t yet gone over €50m, including bonuses.

Fabio Paratici will fly to England early next week and it’s thought an agreement can be found. Despite the clubs being apart on their valuations, Calciomercato make it clear they don’t think the potential transfer is in danger.

That’s partly because Pep Guardiola’s side are so keen to get the signing done. This should all be sorted out before the end of next week, unless there’s further delays relating to finding a home for Danilo.
