West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign Loren from Real Betis, according to Informa Betis, who also reiterate Sheffield United interest.

The Hammers are on the hunt for a new striker this summer, with Andy Carroll leaving on a free transfer, Lucas Perez returning to Spain and Javier Hernandez free to leave.

They are particularly keen on Maxi Gómez, but they’ve already seen a bid rejected, with Celta Vigo demanding €50m, which would activate his release clause.

West Ham feel that a deal is possible, but if not, they’ll need an alternative. That’s where Loren comes in. According to Informa Betis, Loren has been offered to the Hammers.

They wanted the striker last summer and were willing to pay his €25m release clause. Loren turned down the move, though, and signed a new deal at Betis that increased his release clause to €40m.

Should West Ham want to push forward they will likely face competition.

Earlier this week we covered claims, again from Informa Betis, that another Premier League club, Sheffield United, were keen on his signature.

The newly promoted club are among Loren’s suitors, alongside Espanyol, Granada and Osasuna. The striker, though, is very reluctant to leave his current club.

Betis apparently need to find a club that can ‘seduce’ him.
