Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City this summer but are not keen on the Portuguese star.

That’s according to Real Madrid fansite Defensa Central, who say that ‘he is not a player of interest’ for the Spanish giants this summer.

Silva is widely expected to leave the Etihad before the end of the window, with Pep Guardiola confirming he is one of several who have asked to leave Manchester City.

The belief is that he would like a move to Spain in order to be closer to his family, and he has been linked with a move to Atlético Madrid in the Spanish press.

It seems it is their city rivals who have been offered the chance to sign him, though, at least according to CD’s information.

They say that Silva has spent several weeks looking for a new team, and his agent is working to find the best option, but it has not been as easy as they thought it would be.

Sources close to Real Madrid say that his agent offered him them for €40m, but those in charge at the Bernabeu sent back a resounding no as they consider his position to be one that they are well stocked in.

Madrid’s only focus at this moment in time appears to be Kylian Mbappé, who may leave Paris Saint Germain if they can’t convince him to sign a new deal at the club.

Thus, spending money on Silva was not an option, and so the Manchester City man has to try and find a club willing to spend on him.

€40m is not a big fee, and certainly sounds less than City would want, but he’d like a move to Spain and the top sides there all have other ideas, including Atlético, who are now closing in on a deal for Matheus Cunha.
