Tottenham and Juventus have started to talk about Moussa Sissoko in a swap deal for Weston McKennie after the Italians showed ‘coldness’ towards Tanguy Ndombele.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say that Fabio Paratici is locked in talks with his replacement Federico Cherubini about the deal.

The newspaper explains that Juventus are not stopping at the signing of Manuel Locatelli, and manager Max Allegri would like to add more physicality to his midfield.

The favourite is Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni, but a new option has emerged in the last few hours in the form of Tottenham’s Sissoko.

Spurs were in contact with Juventus at the beginning of the window, and Paratici reopened those talks a few days ago to set up a swap deal for Weston McKennie, who is the man Juventus are open to letting go to sign their new midfielder.

Paratici’s first idea was to include Ndombele in the deal, but the Italian giants have shown a ‘coldness’ to the Frenchman despite being interested in him when he was at Lyon.

So, in the last few hours, the idea has changed, and the two clubs are now talking about swapping McKennie for Sissoko instead.

At the moment, an ‘exchange of loans’ is being proposed, and Tuttosport say that the hypothesis is ‘concrete and feasible’, although not yet certain.

While Tottenham have given the okay, Juventus are taking their time to assess their options and ensure there are no other targets available first.
