Manchester City youngster Issa Kabore has admitted he would love to stay at Marseille beyond next summer.

The youngster has been with Manchester City since 2020 when he joined in a £4.05m deal from KV Mechelen.

He’s since spent a loan spell back at the Belgian club before returning in 2021, when he was then loaned out to Troyes.

This season he finds himself at Marseille, who have brought him in to provide competition to right back Jonathan Klauss in a loan deal that includes an option for them to make it permanent next summer.

Kabore has so far played a bit-part role for them, making three appearances in all competitions and managing 86 minutes in total.

It seems, though, the youngster is more than happy with the situation so far and would love to make his move from Manchester City a permanent one if he can.

“There were many teams who wanted me and with whom I spoke,” he told Foot Mercato.

“When I heard that there was OM, I said to my agent that I had to calm down and that I had to wait for OM.

“When my agent called me, I was with my family, in my room. I called my wife to tell her that I didn’t believe it, that it was Marseille who wanted me. It was incredible. We were really happy.

“My future, I want it to be OM. I would like to stay here. I want to leave my mark here. I don’t think it will be difficult, because I already love this club and frankly, I don’t think it will be difficult.”
