On Monday morning, reports from the German media revealed, or claimed if you prefer, Manchester United have made contact with Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel.
It was reported by Kicker’s Georg Holzner that Red Devils’ owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe holds the coach ‘in the highest regard’ and wants him to replace Erik ten Hag,
Now as Bild’s Christan Falk comes up with an update on the situation, he brings Tuchel’s side of the story.
He claims that while Manchester United showed interest in the manager, he’s actually ‘very interested’ in taking the job.
With Tuchel set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, it’s claimed that he’s ready to take on a ‘new challenge’ for next season.
This is definitely not the first time the German media reports Tuchel would be keen on working at Manchester United. Back in February, it had been both Falk and Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg who claimed that the coach would consider the job at Old Trafford.
Now it seems he’s ready for it, as long as he becomes the Red Devils’ actual choice to replace Ten Hag.
