Just like David Moyes and Louis van Gaal had before him, Jose Mourinho has made real efforts to improve and expand Manchester United’s scouting network.

Since Mourinho took over at Old Trafford there have been many scouting appointments, as the club look to catch up on ground they may have lost to Manchester City and others.

Of course, there’s little point in scouting young talents around the world if none of them are ever brought in, and Mourinho’s background work looks like it’s set to have another pay-off.

French newspaper L’Equipe report that Aliou Badara Traoré is on the verge of signing for Manchester United on what is believed to be a three year contract. The midfielder has spent time with PSG’s academy, boarding at the club’s facilities, but recently returned to previous club Sarcelles.

L’Equipe say the player is ‘about to join’ Manchester United, and Mourinho and his scouting will hope Aliou Badara Traoré is one of several, perhaps many, young talents to sign up at Carrington over the next year or so.
