At the end of the transfer there’s an abundance of claims which are forgotten a couple of days of later, never to rear their head again.

Some of them are a little outlandish, but if experience has taught us anything it’s that often what seems strange one day can be a completed deal, and make perfect sense, the next.

Step forward Manchester United, Daley Blind, and AS Roma.

Calciomercato report Blind has been offered to Roma by Manchester United and the player is up for a move. The Italian club’s director of football Mochi, best known for his time at Sevilla, is said to be working on the case.

The idea would be a loan move with a right of redemption, which would somewhat fit in with Roma’s precarious financial situation regarding transfers.

But it sounds a little strange Manchester United would be so up for such a deal. Blind is a versatile player and Jose Mourinho could need him for cover between now and the end of the season.

To be willing to let him go without a fee straight up would be generous from Manchester United towards Roma.
