Liverpool and West Ham United are today mentioned as potential contenders to get Perr Schuurs signed from Torino.

The information is brought by Calciomercato, who features a story on the possibilities the defender has for the end of the summer window.

It’s said a transfer is the ‘most obvious’ scenario for Schuurs, with big interest from the Premier League in his signing.

The problem is that Torino demand €40m for his sale. Crystal Palace offered €30m and had their bid turned down, with their pursuit getting ‘stopped for now’.

That’s where Liverpool and West Ham are brought in, with the outlet claiming the two ‘remain at the window’, although they haven’t placed bids yet.

Clubs are not encouraged to try a discount, as Torino president Urbano Cairo is ‘inflexible’ about the request made for the sale.

Calciomercato don’t say whether Liverpool and West Ham are willing to match the €40m demanded for Schuurs.

It seems both clubs will just wait and see how the final weeks of the transfer window goes, while the Serie A side have already started looking for potential replacements.
