Earlier today we covered claims from Correire dello Sport, who reported Juventus are getting closer to signing Roberto Firmino from Liverpool this summer.
It was explained negotiations are advancing for the Brazilian’s transfer, in a deal that would be worth a little over €20m. A need to get more regular starts and impress Brazil manager Tite was said to be behind the desire for a move, with the Qatar World Cup appearing on the horizon.
Calciomercato.it now have what they present as an exclusive on the situation.
They say that despite claims otherwise, a move for the Liverpool player isn’t imminent. Juventus don’t rule out the idea, however, they have no intention of paying the €30m it’s stated the Reds are looking for.
According to the same report, it’s Firmino’s agents, Rogon, who have been trying to build a deal and have therefore offered him to other clubs. This is similar to what happened when the player was looking for a way out of Hoffenheim.
This time, Juventus has been ‘one of the very first choices’ for Rogon.
