Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino remains Monaco’s ‘attacking priority’ for the summer transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Sebastien Denis, who says the principality club are still pushing for the Japan international.

Minamino is believed to be on the list of players Liverpool are looking to ship out this summer as they look to raise funds and balance the books.

The forward has endured a difficult time at the club since his arrival from Red Bull Salzburg but shone during a loan spell with Southampton last season.

He’s ready to play regular football elsewhere, with it clear he is not a major part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Anfield, particularly after Liverpool finalised a potential €100m deal for Darwin Nunez.

That only further pushed Minamino down the pecking order, and finding him a new club is likely to be on Liverpool’s list of priorities.

Fortunately there is interest from Ligue 1, with Denis reporting that Minamino is the ‘attacking priority’ for Monaco as they look to strengthen their forward line.

There is still a ‘pressing interest‘, although the journalist doesn’t mention whether they’ve gone beyond simply making that interest clear.

Either way, it’s there’ and perhaps something to keep an eye on moving forwards into the summer transfer window.
