Takehiro Tomiyasu has spent much of the summer being linked with a move from Bologna to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 22-year-old can play as either a right-back or central defender, occasionally popping up at left-back, so several Premier League clubs have taken an interest due to his versatility.

Corriere dello Sport report Leicester City are considering the signing, and they say Bologna would be looking for around €20-25m to part ways with the Japan international.

Tomiyasu, who has a contract lasting until 2024, is very eager to move to English football, and hasn’t kept his ambitions a secret. He spoke to the Japanese media this week and repeated that a transfer to the Premier League is absolutely something he wants to happen in the near future.

Bologna won’t put up a fight if a club goes close to their asking price, and this is a deal there to be done for Leicester City or any of the other clubs to have been linked.

Last season Tomiyasu made 31 Serie A appearances, switching between right-back and central defender, and scored two goals.
