As Leicester City start preparing for an important transfer window next summer, they may be looking to compete with Premier League clubs for some signings.

Portuguese newspaper Record today shares a front page story claiming several clubs will have scouts in the cup clash between Benfica and Sporting on Thursday night.

Most of them are top-tier clubs, with the Premier League represented by the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Among them, there is also Leicester City, clearly keeping an eye on potential reinforcements in case they get the promotion for the next season.

For now, there’s no clear information on who the Foxes may be interested in, and they haven’t been linked to any players from those clubs for a while.

Nearly a year ago, there were rumours saying they were interested in Eagles midfielder Orkun Kökçü.

Record also brings a few names who could draw the scouts’ attention on Thursday.

Those are Benfica’s João Neves and Antonio Silva, as well as Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres, Ousmane Diomande and Gonçalo Inácio, but with all those players set to be pursued by very rich clubs, there is also a chance that Leicester City have some alternative names in their agenda after the successful loan of Issahaku Fatawu.
