Leicester City fullback Ricardo Pereira could be on his way to his former club, according to reports from Portugal.

Newspaper Correio da Manhã today features a short piece saying the 29-year-old could reinforce the Dragons’ squad in the summer window.

It’s pointed out that following Leicester City’s relegation to the Championship, he could be one of those on the way out of the club.

For now, there aren’t any details whether there are advanced talks with Porto for his return to the Estádio do Dragão.

Ricardo Pereira played for the Dragons between 2013 and 2018, and made 77 appearances for the Portuguese side.

It was in 2018 that he was negotiated with Leicester City, with the Foxes spending €22m to bring him to the Premier League.

In his five years with the Foxes, the fullback made 124 appearances, with nine goals and 15 assists made. T

his season, though, he had a serious Achilles injury and ended up being sidelined for most games, having only 11 appearances. Unfortunately for him, that’s the same year that took the Foxes to the Championship, and that may result in his farewell.
