Leo Hjelde has made five appearances for Leeds United since he arrived at Elland Road in 2021.

The 19-year-old was largely restricted to a substitute’s role in the first half of last season and was then sent out on loan to Rotherham United in the winter market. He made 13 appearances for the Championship side this year.

Tutto Salernitana state the Leeds youngster has a ‘lot of market’ after his temporary spell at Rotherham United. The report only focuses on Salernitana’s interest in him.

The Serie A side’s sporting director, Morgan De Sanctis, is searching both the Italian and foreign markets to reshape the squad in the summer window.

With regards to foreign targets, it’s claimed the ‘most interesting track’ is the one that leads to the Whites left-back.

The Norway U21 international has two years left on his deal and the report states that the Italian club believe they could take him away from Leeds with the ‘right offer’. It’s not made clear what figure is needed to convince the Whites.

If Hjelde moves to Salernitana, he’ll provide cover and competition to Domagoj Bradarić next season.
