Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered several stories about Grêmio’s interest in Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Among the many claims, it was said the Brazilian club only want him on loan, as they don’t have the financial conditions to spend the €10m requested by the Whites.

It turns out that a new report from Globo Esporte goes against all that was said, and writes that Grêmio may indeed go after a permanent deal for the Fulham striker this summer.

The Tricolor are unsure about the future of Luis Suarez, as his knee issues and the wish of a transfer to Inter Miami could take him away from the club.

It’s then said that Grêmio tried to sign Muniz from Fulham on loan, and that was turned down by the Whites. Now they ‘study’ an offer to buy him.

This time, it’s claimed that Marco Silva’s side request between €4m and €5m for his transfer.

That makes sense, as the player has just returned from a disappointing loan at Middlesbrough, and €10m sounded like too much.

Grêmio’s idea is to buy only a percentage of that, so we’ll see how that develops.
