There are few things the German sport media love more than linking Timo Werner with Liverpool.

The story has been going on for over a year, and it’s clear the RB Leipzig forward rather fancies a move to Anfield. For many months it felt like the love was only going one way, yet there’s been some recent claims the Reds have actually been making efforts to get a deal done.

That’s what Bild want to believe anyway, and they include the potential transfer in an article about Milot Rashica today. The idea is the Werder Bremen player will move to RB Leipzig and his purchase will be financed by the sale of Werner to Liverpool.

Indeed, Bild even state: ‘It is possible that the club will wait until the change of Timo Werner to Liverpool FC has been largely completed’

That shows their level of confidence that moves are being made in the background on this summer switch.

Jurgen Klopp is ‘willing’ for Liverpool to pay the €55-60m which would be required for the transfer, and that fee would then allow Leipzig to go out and complete a move for Rashica.

Bild have got it all figured out.
