While Antonio Conte is no longer Tottenham’s manager, he will have left a lasting impact on some of the players there.

Some will be negative, with claims Richarlison and Cristian Romero no longer wanted to work with him, while others have a lot of positives to say about the Italian, such as Dejan Kulusevski.

One thing is certain, and that’s the fact he will have left the whole squad fitter physically following his hard training regime, which Andrea Ranocchia recalls when speaking to Radio Bruno, relayed by Labaro Viola.

Asked about the now former Tottenham manager, with whom he worked at Inter Milan, he said: “I don’t know if he can return to Italy. He had an important operation. It will also depend a lot on the various clubs. Borja and I suffered more training with him. It’s no coincidence that we both stopped afterwards.

“He and I certainly suffered during the races. He asks a lot of you. When we saw the images of Tottenham players vomiting, we kept sending them to each other. He makes all the players grow and improve. He is a very important coach.”

Antonio Conte left Tottenham after a difficult year personally, during which he lost three friends and had to undergo gallbladder surgery, and it seemed everything came to the surface after Spurs drew with Southampton 3-3.

His tirade after the game left little room but for Tottenham to seek a mutual parting of ways, which they have now done, leaving Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason to oversee the rest of the season as they look for the next manager to take over at the London club.
