It’s no secret the Italian media is still a little obsessed with the fact Juventus signed Paul Pogba for free from Manchester United back in 2012, making him a superstar a couple of years later.

Every year, the local press names several starlets who could soon be signed as free agents, and the Frenchman is always named as an example of the huge success that these operations could bring.

Now there’s a better reason why Pogba’s name is used. That’s because Juventus would be eyeing another Manchester United ‘midfielder’ who could make his way to Turin for free.

Tuttosport claims that the Old Lady is on the front row in case Tahith Chong decides not to sign an extension with the Red Devils.

It’s claimed that for now, Juventus directors are only keeping an eye on the 19-year-old, who has seven appearances for Manchester United this season so far.

They keep mentioning his physical similarity with Paul Pogba, although Chong is presented as a player with ‘bigger defensive duties’, and we wonder if they’ve really watched him play to say something like that.
