Even though Napoli are about to close the signing of Hamed Junior Traorè from AFC Bournemouth, the club is being heavily criticised for their transfer window.

The Serie A side had already disappointed their fans in the summer, and as they’ve been struggling in the league this season they were expected to have brought some reinforcements in by now.

Traorè may be the first, but as Spazio Napoli features some quotes from journalist Paolo Del Genio on Radio Kiss Kiss, it’s clear that the Bournemouth player isn’t enough to save the season.

As the 23-year-old has been sidelined due to the malaria virus for months now, it’s said that the reporter ‘explodes’ claiming that the club may be going after the wrong targets.

“It’s January 15th but no new players are arriving! Traorè has been inactive for 4 months,” said Paolo Del Genio.

“I believed that, before the Super Cup, Napoli could have changed 4 or 5 players.”

According to the latest reports from the Italian media, Traorè is expected to have his medical with Napoli in the next couple of days.

The Serie A side will be signing the midfielder on a loan deal, and are expected to have a €25m option to buy him from Bournemouth at the end of the season.
