Everton appointed Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager on December 21st, not long after the Italian was sacked by Napoli.

Since then, there have been regular rumours linking the the Serie A club’s players with moves to Goodison Park. The list include the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Allan, Hirving Lozano and Arkadiusz Milik.

On March 24th, Gazzetta dello Sport reported the former Chelsea manager is interested in the centre-back and claimed Ancelotti had called Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to ask about Koulibaly.

The Everton boss’ interest in the 28-year-old has now been backed up by Italian journalist Valter De Maggio. He provided this information during Kiss Kiss Napoli’s program, Radio Goal and CalcioNapoli24 have relayed his comments.

The journalist stated: “From what I understand, Carlo Ancelotti has placed Kalidou Koulibaly at the top of his list of goals… to strengthen the defence of Everton in view of next season.”

De Maggio, however, has not provided any update on Koulibaly’s potential stance on a transfer to the Premier League club.

The defender is on the radar of Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester United are also rumoured to be interested in Koulibaly.
