Despite some recent links with Manchester United, it seems that the Valencia right-back João Cancelo could end up at another Premier League side next season.
According to reports from Tutto Mercato Web this Wednesday, it’s Wolverhampton Wanderers who are the strongest club in the race now.
The Italian website actually has a story explaining how far is Cancelo from Inter Milan at this stage. After loaning the player on a one-year deal from Valencia, the Nerazzurri had a €35m buying option over him, and are unlikely to use it.
That’s why other clubs have their chance, and when speaking of the Premier League chase, Tutto Mercato Web claims that the strongest interest comes from Wolves.
Needless to say, Jorge Mendes has a great relationship both at Wolves and Valencia, helping Peter Lim and the Fosun group to get fancy transfers. So it shouldn’t be very hard for the agent to find a deal between the two clubs.
