Zlatan Ibrahimović ‘could be tempted’ by a move to Everton, who have contacted him in recent days about a potential deal.

The giant Swede is available on a free transfer having brought his stint in MLS to an end and is on the hunt for a new club.

It had looked like he would be joining former club AC Milan but La Repubblica state that they now seem ‘increasingly distant’.

Milan are growing impatient waiting for Ibrahimović having already waited a month and a half since first contacting him about a return.

They wanted him at the club at the beginning of December so he could acclimatise, but now their patience is running out, and that could see him join Everton.

La Repubblica believe he could be tempted and Carlo Ancelotti’s impending arrival at Goodison Park could help to make it happen.

However, Everton fans may want to temper their excitement as Calciomercato.it report that it’s unlikely to happen.

They’ve been told by Ibrahimović’s entourage that he does not like the idea of a return to the Premier League, especially to a team that are currently fighting against relegation.

Everton are currently 16th in the table and three points outside the relegation zone, and it seems helping them out of that predicament is not something Ibrahimović fancies.
