For a while Olivier Giroud has been frequently mentioned in the Italian press, since a couple of Serie A clubs would be interested in taking him from Chelsea.

On Wednesday, newspaper Tuttosport has some information about two different chases, but with both having similar outcomes.

Starting with Milan, there are several strikers who the Rossoneri have been keeping an eye on. With Giroud being over 30 and making ‘too much money’ at Chelsea, he’s now placed behind other options they have for the position.

Meanwhile at Inter Milan, as covered by Calcio Mercato, they’ve stopped their pursuit for a second option for Romelu Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri were certain they needed a second striker, but with Sebastiano Esposito impressing this season, they’ve stopped looking for now. Still, Giroud is said to be still waiting for a call from his former boss Antonio Conte.

If the Italian media are correct, then the striker is going to be left disappointed by Conte during the winter market.
