Fulham star João Palhinha doesn’t seem keen to feed new rumours of a departure from Craven Cottage.
He and Andreas Pereira were both interviewed by DAZN Portugal this week, with Mais Futebol’s website now featuring the quotes.
Palhinha was asked about a potential exit from Fulham at the end of the season, and ended up claiming he’s actually not thinking about a transfer, as he’s more focused on the end of season with Fulham and the Euros with Portugal.
“I’m calm, I want to finish the season in the best possible way. The Euros are coming up. I want to finish these games in good shape. Everything else doesn’t worry me. I’m calm, stable and happy. I don’t want to be bothering my head with things that don’t make sense now. I want to play football and help Fulham win these five games,” said Palhinha.
Last summer, Palhinha had the whole Bayern Munich saga around him, and even though some rumours said the transfer could happen in January, that was never the case.
It now remains to be seen whether it’s the Bundesliga giants or another club who’d like to take the midfielder from Fulham this year, as he continues to have very good performances for the London side.
Bayern Munich are expected to change managers at the end of the season, and that should be decisive for the club’s summer plans.
