West Ham United allowed Nikola Vlašić to join Torino on a loan deal in the summer after his disappointing campaign with David Moyes’ side last term.

The attacking midfielder has been shining for the Serie A side, who retain an option to make his stay permanent.

Earlier this month, we relayed a claim from Italy that the 25-year-old has ‘zero desire’ to return to West Ham.

The Croatia international’s wish is likely to be fulfilled considering the Turin club plan to keep him at the club beyond his temporary deal.

According to Tuttosport, the West Ham owned player ‘will be redeemed for €15m’ by the Italian club. The report also backed them to have a ‘great future’ with Vlašić. He has four goals and three assists from 15 matches in all competitions this season.

This claim has not been entertained by Torino chairman Urbano Cairo. During an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, the Serie A side’s chief was asked whether he is ‘evaluating’ buying Vlašić.

Responding to that, Cairo said: “There are no assumptions about the transfer market, we are on matchday 14 and it’s early. He’s doing very well and I like him, but the championship is long.

“Miranchuk is also very good, while Radonjic has made great plays and also scored.”
