Emre Can’s ten day deadline to tell Juventus what he’s decided has now passed. And, like we and others predicted, absolutely nothing has happened.
There’s been no announcement of an agreed deal, as Juventus have been keen to do, and the Turin club haven’t pulled out of talks to sign the Liverpool player.
So as one deadline ends, so another loose deadline begins, and Tuttosport claim that this week should see the midfielder’s future determined.
Tucked away at the end of an article on Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Matteo Darmian, and their chances of a Juventus move, Tuttosport say Can needs to ‘make it clear’ whether he’s going to choose ‘the heart or the wallet’.
This follows on from claims they made at the weekend that Can has more lucrative offers from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, but his heart had been set on Juventus.
But again it’s worth pointing out this isn’t a big story in the German or Spanish media, or any story at all.
The Liverpool player is keeping everyone waiting and the longer things drag on, the more worried Juventus will get.
