Even though Chile are out of the World Cup this year, there’s still a light mood at the national team, with Norwich City player Marcelino Nunez seeming very relaxed in a press conference this week.

As highlighted by the local media, the new Canaries’ player arrived in the room making a joke with local journalists, as if he was actually English.

“One, two, three. Very good, very nice, very good. I’m from Norwich City,” he said (via Minuto en Cancha).

Nunez joined Norwich City in a €3.9m move from Universidad Catolica this summer. He straight away became a regular started for the Canaries, and according to him, that’s explained by a fine adaptation he had when arriving at the club.

“My teammates welcomed me, I was surprised by the facilities and especially the pitches, that helped me a lot to adapt quickly,” (via Biobio Chile).

Nunes has been a starter in all games Norwich City have played this season, and scored a goal in the only game the Canaries were defeated, as that was in the 2-1 loss to Hull City in the second Championship fixture.

The midfielder is set to feature in Chile’s friendlies against Morocco and Qatar in the current international break, and once returning to England, he faces a trip to Blackpool on the 1st of October.
