Fanatik claim Galatasaray are close to signing Andy Carroll from West Ham United ahead of the next transfer window.

The England international has been linked with the Istanbul club in recent weeks as their search for a No.9 continues. The Turkish club have yet to replace former Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis and it seems Carroll is the player they have decided to sign.

The Turkish newspaper claim Galatasaray have reached an agreement with both West Ham and the player.

It’s reported only a couple of small details are left before the transfer is completed with the Hammers.

We covered reports from Turkey earlier this month that Galatasaray were in talks with Carroll, and that the attacker was close to moving to Cim Bom in the last window. However, the Super Lig club pulled out due to the West Ham player’s ankle injury.

According to Fanatik, with Carroll now seemingly over his injury struggles a transfer to Turkey looks to be on the agenda.
