Fulham may be struggling to match Fiorentina’s request for the transfer of Igor, but that doesn’t mean they’ll give up on that signing so soon.

Earlier on Thursday, we covered reports from the Italian media which said Brighton & Hove Albion had joined the tussle for the transfer, now being in ‘open negotiations’ for the 25-year-old.

Now as CalcioMercato.it features an update on this race, they highlight there’s a battle between Fulham and the Seagulls for the transfer.

The outlet makes it clear that the Craven Cottage side ‘have not let go’ in this battle, while Brighton have joined the race in the past few hours.

Even though there’s been recent rumours saying Villarreal are also interested in Igor, Calcio Mercato claims that according to their information, it’s an ‘all-English derby’ between Fulham and the Seagulls for the transfer.

As previously reported by the same outlet, Fiorentina’s request for the transfer is €25m, although that figure has fluctuated wildly in recent weeks.

The Italian media recently claimed that Fulham don’t want to go beyond €8m, so there continues to be a huge gap that may benefit Brighton in this race.
