The Italian media is starting not to sound very optimistic about Fulham’s pursuit of Fiorentina defender Igor.

The latest claims on this chase were made on Radio Toscana, where journalist Niccolo Ceccarini brought an update in the situation.

As Fiorentina News brings the quotes, the reporter claims Fulham’s bid is still far from what Fiorentina are demanding for Igor this summer.

“Fulham are on the player, but they’re still and have not presented any offers. The English club’s proposal would not exceed €8m, when instead Fiorentina’s request is at least more than double this figure,” said Niccolo Ceccarini on Radio Toscana.

The claims are similar, although a little better, to those made by Firenze Viola this week. There, they claimed that Fiorentina’s request is of €25m.

At this stage, it’s very clear that La Viola are pushing to get a bigger fee for the defender, and may even be exaggerating a little just so they can find a common ground with Fulham.

Since the Craven Cottage side are getting linked with other centre-backs, all that pressure from the Italian side may convince Marco Silva’s side of turning their attention to other players.

Over the past few weeks, Fulham were said to be interested in Benfica’s Morato and AS Roma’s Roger Ibanez as well.
