Former Galatasaray midfielder Baris Ozbek has spoken to Turkish website Ajansspor about the latest transfer developments and the Istanbul club’s pursuit of Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie.

Ozbek said he’s now opening a football academy to educate youngsters and for that reason, he’s in talks with a couple of agents.

He claims some of the agents told him that Galatasaray have a concrete interest in Everton’s Bolasie with the DR Congo winger remaining at Everton after deadline day in England.

Although clubs like Middlesbrough could still have a chance to sign Bolasie on loan, Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have also been linked with a move for the player. The Super Lig window only closes at the end of August.

Ozbek said: “I’ve heard that Galatasaray are interested in signing Yannick Bolasie. I don’t think they’ll afford to sign him permanently, but a loan move could be on the agenda. They’ll just give a chance to Sofiane Feghouli at No.10 position and Bolasie could help them.”

With the players Marco Silva brought in this summer Bolasie may have to find a new club to get more playing time. The player only returned to action last Christmas following a serious knee injury and struggled to find his form in the second half of last season.
