Italian newspaper Tuttosport continues to feed the rumours which link Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra to Serie A side Torino.

On Friday, although the outlet didn’t have any new claims about the chase, they interviewed Diogo Bortoluzzi, who used to be an assistant manager at Udinese when Pereyra played there.

Besides describing Pereyra’s game, Bortoluzzi made a few comments on the links with Torino, claiming that the Argentine player would be a big help to the Turin side.

Asked by Tuttosport if Pereyra would suit Torino’s style, Bortoluzzi said: “Absolutely yes. He is a player with a constant return, which has always grown. Then, for a team like Torino that make dynamism… he would be perfect.”

“He would be an excellent purchase, also because he already knows Italy. At Watford I see that he is becoming more and more decisive, he is a man-team (one man team, perhaps). I wish him to move to Torino, so maybe I’ll come to see him.”

“Torino are a solid team, which can easily be behind the big group. Europe is absolutely possible given the standings.”

Pereyra’s links with Torino aren’t new, but the story got a lot hotter during the January transfer window.

Last week, Tuttosport interviewed the player’s representative Sergio Furlan. He confirmed that former Watford manager Walter Mazzarri is interested in bringing Pereyra to Torino, and then said he ‘can’t deny’ that the Hornets are making some big demands to let the player leave this month.
