German newspaper Bild have been all over Alexis Sanchez to Bayern Munich. The German champions signing Sanchez from Arsenal would be a big boost for the Bundesliga against the Premier League, and it’s been taken seriously, increasingly so over the past week or so.
After scoring against Stoke City at the weekend, Alexis Sanchez appeared to make a gesture to Arsenal fans to calm down, pointed at his badge, and then to the pitch, and it looked like he might be saying he’s staying.
Arsenal fans have been especially nervous over Sanchez, with his contract ending in June 2018, and some are worried to see too much in it. However, Bild also seem worried that it could signal the end of Bayern’s hopes of a huge summer deal.
Perhaps everyone’s wrong, and considering it happened at the Bet365 Stadium, Alexis Sanchez actually meant he’s signing for Stoke City.
