Leeds United’s Lucas Perri has found his future uncertain for the entirety of the summer transfer window. His exit could now be back on track once again.
A transfer to Torino was imminent weeks ago.

This forced the Italian side to raise their bid and now, the deal is close to being done.
Torino offer accepted

The ‘deal is now complete’ with Leeds United have accepted the latest offer from Torino.
Ignazio Abate’s side put forward a loan fee of €1m and an option to buy worth €14m. This has proved enough, with Perri closer than ever to sealing the transfer.
This comes after it was previously clear that Perri’s agents had been Italy for days. It should be presumed this has played a key role in the transfer, even if Marseille were pushing for a deal and Leeds United were holding out for more offers.
Our take: Player needs the transfer
Perri had fallen out of favour under Daniel Farke in the second half of last season. This came right after he was a regular for Lyon and proved he can operate at the highest level.
That is why he desperately needs a new club and Torino will give him regular minutes.
Torino are a selling club and in the future, they will move him on, especially if handed a capital gain.
The deal also makes a lot of sense for Leeds United. They paid around €16m to sign him last summer. This transfer gives them a chance to make a capital gain from his future sale.
