Following his decision to leave the Molineux side at the end of this season, Nuno Espírito Santo was also linked to the likes of Crystal Palace and Everton, and was even said to be in talks for a move to Turkey.

Following stronger rumours of a Tottenham move, reports from Portugal then also claimed that with the signing of Nuno Espírito Santo confirmed, Tottenham should have bigger chances of landing Porto midfielder Sérgio Oliveira.
