Everton finished the winter market without making any new additions to their squad, failing to complete a few deals in the process, with one of them being Udinese’s Beto.

Last week, Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino confirmed his side had turned down a huge offer from the Toffees in January.

Everton saw their €25m bid for the striker get rejected by the Serie A side and this is again highlighted by Mondo Udinese.

They further add the Portuguese has started to score and is currently ‘making headlines’, as he found the back of the net in his side’s 2-2 draw against Spezia at the weekend.

Although Beto has a contract until 2026, it’ll be difficult for the Italian club to hold on to him beyond this season.

The feeling is that they will sell him in the summer, if Udinese were to receive an offer of at least €30-35m.

Faced with the possibility of losing Beto, Udinese have identified Spezia’s M’Bala Nzola as the candidate to replace him.

Meanwhile, Everton would have to make an improved bid if they want Beto in the summer, with a minimum of €5m needed to be added to stand a chance.

Their chances of securing his services would also depend on them staying in the top flight as Sean Dyche’s side are currently 18th in the Premier League table.
