Earlier on Monday, we covered the news that Everton were interested in signing Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Dortmund.

The player appears to be on his way out from the Bundesliga side, and the Toffees were said to be in a battle with PSV Eindhoven to try and get him in the last couple of days of the transfer window.

Unlike Everton, the Eredivisie side aren’t in a relegation battle, and that could be why, according to Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink, he prefers the idea of heading to the Netherlands.

Taking to Twitter, the reporter explains PSV are ‘still on track’ to get Hazard tomorrow, and the player himself ‘wants to go to Eindhoven, and not to Everton’.

This is what is coming from his entourage, according to Elfrink, and a final decision on the matter will take place ‘tomorrow’, meaning Tuesday.

While there are no details about where Everton are in the talks, it’s said PSV are ‘still in consultation’ with Dortmund about all the conditions of their potential deal to sign the Belgian.

One to keep an eye on, but it isn’t looking good for the Toffees at this moment in time.
