Everton are currently in talks for the signing of Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto, according to reports.

The information is brought by Fussball Transfers journalist Dominik Schneider, who, on Twitter, brings some news on the player.

It’s claimed that Yuri Alberto’s future at Corinthians remains ‘open’ as ‘numrous clubs from Europe’ have been showing interest with him.

Talks with Everton are said to be ‘ongoing’, even though there are no concrete offers from the Toffees so far.

According to Schneider, Yuri Alberto is ‘ready for a move’ and is ‘waiting for a perfect option’. The journalist also says that a ‘high transfer fee’ is expected.

This is certainly not the first time Everton are linked to the striker. Their interest was first reported in 2021, when he was still playing for Internacional.

Now in May this year, it was once again claimed the Toffees made contact about the transfer and were evaluating the possibility of making a formal bid.

Yuri Alberto only has seven goals in 37 games for Corinthians this season, and in case a good bid arrives, the Brazilian club will be ready to sell.
