PSV Eindhoven and Everton are battling it out for Borussia Dortmund’s Thorgan Hazard.

The winger has seen his game time reduced and has made six starts in all competitions this season, not featuring since the World Cup. His situation at BVB has drawn attention from the Eredivisie side and the Toffees.

Algemeen Dagblad explain PSV are trying to sign the 29-year-old and he would be open to joining them before the window closes on Tuesday. The report also looks at claims of Everton’s interest in him.

According to AD, no one around the Belgium international ‘wants to confirm stories’ of Everton’s interest and them wanting to ‘hijack the deal’ from PSV.

Other claims in the Dutch press have said PSV chief Marcel Brands is actively negotiating with the Bundesliga side for the player’s transfer. This is relayed by Belgium’s La Dernière Heure, who then provide their own information on Everton.

It’s claimed the Merseyside club are on the ‘prowl’ for Hazard and would like to secure his services in the winter market.

With two clubs after the attacker, it needs to be seen whether Hazard will favour battling for the title with PSV or fighting to avoid relegation with Everton.
