Borussia Dortmund have had another busy summer, fans of the club must each find it a little more difficult to become attached to players each year, fearing they’re just about to leave, and even worse could end up at rivals Bayern Munich.

This year has seen Mats Hummels make that trip to Bayern Munich, Ilkay Gundogan go to Manchester City, and Henrik Mkhitaryan sign for Manchester United.

Given those sales, the club are absolutely determined to hang on to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and he seems quite happy where he is. German newspaper Bild pick up English claims about a €70m Manchester City bid, which has either been made or the club would be prepared to make.

Bild reiterate that it’s simply unlikely Dortmund will sell, even if the claims are anything more than plucking from thin air.

Perhaps surprisingly, the club’s general manager Michael Zorc has spoken to Bild about the situation, and he explained: “All these rumours have accompanied us all summer. We can only repeat always, that with us he has a contract until 2020 and he feels very comfortable with BVB – how it should stay!”

That should be that.
