Signed by AS Roma last summer, Steven Nzonzi has quickly become an integral part of Eusebio di Francesco’s plans.

These performances in Italy have done nothing to dispel the already existent interest from the Premier League, as Calciomercatonews believe Arsenal and Tottenham are still keen.

The Italian website push the story a little bit further by suggesting Roma could be set for a summer revolution, one where they will look to ‘Italianise’ the squad.

To do so, they will need funds, and with an ageing midfield, selling a player entering the back end of his career but coming off a good season could be the way to go, especially since his value will only go down the older he gets.

Furthermore, CMN (to shorten their name) believe Monchi, should he decide to swap Rome for London with a move to Arsenal, could try and bring the defensive midfielder with him to add some steel and composure to their midfield.

As things stand, Nzonzi isn’t for sale, but that could change in the coming months depending on how the Serie A club fare in the league and the Champions League.

One to keep an eye on, especially since Unai Emery knows the Frenchman well, having previously managed him at Sevilla.
