Ernesto Valverde will take his men to the Groupama Stadium as Barcelona take on Lyon in the first leg of the Champions League knockout tie on Tuesday.

Today’s edition of Catalan newspapers Mundo Deportivo and Sport have come up with a predicted line-up for the European fixture and the two publications have predicted the same starting XI and same formation – 4-3-3.

No surprise here as Marc-André ter Stegen is set to start in between the posts with Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet forming the centre-back pair to face the Ligue 1 side.

Even though Samuel Umtiti has returned to training, the World Cup winner will not start against his former club. Nelson Semedo and Jordi Alba will play in right-back and left-back positions respectively.

With Arthur sidelined with an injury, Mundo and Sport have decided to go ahead with last summer signing Arturo Vidal in the midfield, along with Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic.

No surprises again when predicting the front three as Luis Suarez will play as the centre forward with Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembélé joining the Uruguayan to lead Barcelona’s attack.
