As officialy announced by Brighton, Jan Mlakar is joining the Premier League side on a transfer from Slovenian club NK Maribor.

He’s signing for an undisclosed fee, and will stay loaned at Maribor until the end of the season, so he’s only officialy moving to England next summer.

Although Brighton didn’t divulge the price paid for the player, website Fiorentina News brings some details about the transfer.

La Viola’s interest in the move is because Mlakar belonged to the club between 2015 and 2018. And when selling him to Maribor, they’ve kept 50% of a future transfer.

Now Fiorentina News says Brighton are signing the player on a €3m deal, so €1.5m should stay with the Italian side.
