On Thursday morning we covered claims from Turkey that Fulham had taken a hard stance over Stefan Johansen.

Fenerbahce were said to have heightened their interest in signing the Norwegian, but were meeting tough resistance from Fulham.

The Premier League club had decided not to part with midfielder during the January window and that was thought to be that… barring any surprises.

Well, TV2 in Norway now report that Johansen and his agent are at West Brom’s offices, which may well be the kind of surprise Fenerbahce probably weren’t expecting.

It’s explained the player is ‘on his way’ to a West Brom transfer and that negotiations are currently ongoing to try and get the deal over the line.

Fulham obviously aren’t being as strong in their stance as it was thought in Turkey, otherwise the player and his agent certainly wouldn’t be at West Brom this evening.

Thanks to @RonnyS0L for the heads up.
