Today it’s Portuguese newspaper A Bola who highlight Crystal Palace’s interest in Sporting winger Issahaku Fatawu.

Following recent reports from the Lisbon press about the Eagles’ chase, the outlet now states there have been ‘informal talks’ for his move to Selhurst Park.

A Bola writes that Crystal Palace look at Fatawu ‘with interest’, but the truth is that they’re unlikely to reach the €15m demanded by Sporting.

What seems to play in favour of the London side is that even though there are other clubs who want him, they’ve been the only ones who have actually made contact so far.

The interesting thing in this story is that Sporting don’t want Fatawu in their squad this season, with manager Ruben Amorim not having him in his plans.

The Lions are actually willing to sell the player, and in case they don’t, even a loan isn’t ruled out.

That’s a clear sign they’re open to negotiating his exit, so if Crystal Palace are struggling to match the price, they should just have a little patience and should see those demands dropping very soon.
