Despite what Thibaut Courtois’ camp say, the constant links with Paris Saint-Germain by the French and Belgian press strongly suggest there’s something going on behind the scenes.

Back towards the end of March, Le Parisien claimed that Antero Henrique, the Ligue 1 leaders’ director of football, had met with the Chelsea goalkeeper in February, with the Belgium international ‘reserving his response for the moment’.

Fast forward to Thursday, and RMC Sport are now reporting that Courtois is ‘very interested’ in a move to Paris Saint-Germain, seduced by their project.

The French club are said to be ‘in talks’ with the Chelsea star’s entourage, despite them directly denying it to RMC Sport when asked about it.

Over in London, the Blues are allegedly ‘conscious’ of Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in their goalkeeper, but have no interest in parting ways with him in the summer, even if he only has one year left on his Stamford Bridge deal.

In fact, RMC Sport claim that a source close to Chelsea said the club ‘could even be prepared to keep Courtois an extra year and let him go for free in 2019’.

This, in turn, could ‘annoy’ the shot stopper, especially since the Blues will not be featuring in the Champions League next season.

If true, this could all get very ugly.
